Hospital de Talagante capacita a los servicio en ACV

En Chile, se producen más de 25.000 ataques cerebrovasculares (ACV) al año y más de 20 personas mueren a diario por esta enfermedad, siendo la primera causa de mortalidad en mujeres y la segunda en hombres. Además, es una de las principales causas de discapacidad en la población.

Es por este motivo que el Hospital de Talagante ofreció una capacitación para médicos y enfermeras de los servicios de salud de la comuna de manera tal que todos estén coordinados ante la presencia de pacientes con esta patología y en donde el tiempo de detección es crucial, además de un buen trabajo en equipo.

La capacitación fue iniciada por el Dr. Ronald Soto, quien expuso sobre el manejo de ACV en el Prehospitalario e hiperagudo, para luego pasar al tema del manejo en enfermería ACV por parte de la enfermera Angélica Cortés

Lo destacado con gran importancia en las presentaciones fue el oportuno reconocimiento de la enfermedad y la utilización de las nuevas tecnologías que han permitido un trabajo mancomunado de los profesionales a través del TeleACV.

El problema es que las personas no conocen los síntomas que hacen sospechar precozmente de un ACV. Estos son:

 

Pérdida brusca de:
-Fuerza de un lado del cuerpo (hemiplejia).
-Lenguaje (afasia): dificultad para entender y para encontrar las palabras para expresarse.
-La visión de un lado del campo visual (hemianopsia).
-Sensibilidad de un lado del cuerpo (hemianestesia).
-Equilibrio o de la coordinación (ataxia).

Además de:
-Visión doble (diplopia), de inicio brusco.

 

Algunos síntomas acompañantes pueden ser dolor de cabeza, somnolencia y mareo, entre otras cosas, aunque pueden o no estar presentes en un infarto cerebral.
